Welcome to the wonderful journey that is parenthood!
Compared to the lifetime you will spend with your children pregnancy is a fleeting moment. Once your little one is in your arms it’s hard to remember what it was like to have that warm little belly. This is a unique life experience and a major milestone. Don’t let it pass without commemorating the experience.
Emily Weaver Brown’s vision is to show each woman in her best light and create an elegant keepsake for you to share with your child.
Sessions typically last about 45 minutes to 1 hour and take place at her Green Lake studio. Your session will include multiple poses, outfits, and backdrops. A large selection of wraps and skirts are available for your use but you are also encouraged to bring a few items. Emily is well known for her nudes so a lot of women select her photography for that reason, however, you are invited to show as much or as little skin as you are comfortable with.
You are welcome to bring your partner or other children to the session. Emily will incorporate them into a few photos. This is a great way to make an older child feel part of the process.
It’s best to schedule your maternity session at or around 32-36 weeks. This is when most women are large enough to really look pregnant but is still feeling really good. Studio style maternity sessions take place at the Green Lake studio location but Emily also offers outdoor sessions during the warmer months of the year. Outdoor sessions typically take place in the evening when the light is at it’s best. If you would prefer an outdoor session please indicate that preference when booking.
This truly is a miraculous time so document and celebrate your transition to motherhood with a tasteful and beautiful maternity session. Years from now your child will look back at these photos and know how excited you were for her to be a part of your family.
