The Great Christmas Tree Hunt
November 29, 2008This is our family Tradition. The day after Thanksgiving we go with my cousins, their children, and my brother to cut down our Christmas tree. This year it rained poured. But we didn't let it stop us from having fun! The tree farm is in North Bend. It's well worth the drive, There is a hay ride around the farm, you are served hot apple cider and you get to warm your hands next to a warm fire inside the main cabin. Santa also sees visitors – as you can see I even took my turn on Santa's lap. Simon wasn't so sure what to think of him.
be prepared for Snap shot overload. I couldn't take many photos outside due to the heavy rain. And the credit goes to my mom for most of these photos.
Thankful
November 28, 2008I am Thankful…
for a beautiful healthy boy
a husband that provides for us
for having plenty of food to eat
for lots of friends and family
for a family of talented musicians
that Simon gets to know not only grandparents but great grandparents.
for having really good health insurance and not needing to use it : )
I hope everyone had a very lovely Thanksgiving like we did.
feel free to say what you are thankful for in the comments.

November 24, 2008Blast from the past
November 20, 2008My blogging buddy Jewls from two peas in a bucket challenged me to re-post a photo from the first 4 moths of blogging and tell the story behind it. So here it is.

More fall color
November 12, 2008I am almost done with 2008! I am officially booked for the rest of the year with the exception of newborns. I will always squeeze in newborns. I just uploaded 6 or so galleries so if you did not get an email from me and you are waiting on your proofs – hold on I'm almost done! In the mean time here is another beautiful family.
I get asked all the time "can I bring my dog to my session?" the answer is yes, if you know how to control him or her. Not to brag but I am pretty good with children. I know how to get them to look at the camera at least. But I am clueless when it comes to dogs, most of them want to look at their owners not at my camera. Turns out dog treats go a long way – Champ here even seems to be smiling!
One year old!
November 11, 2008Simon’s push cart
November 10, 2008I picked up this push cart for Simon at IKEA. (It is not weighted properly so I had to some bricks in the cart part.) Simon really loves it and pushes it up and down the hallway about 20 times a day. He can't turn it so when he gets to the end of the hall he just shakes the handle until I come turn it for him. He is so cute that I took a video.
That's how Simon plays with it. And this is how his dad plays with it.
Simon likes being pushed on the cart so much that he cries whenever you stop.
