Talia {Day 12} – and Simon

This is how she prefers to sleep if she is not swaddled. I am pretty sure this is how here hands were in utero for most of my pregnancy. At our 20 week scan the sonographer had a difficult time getting photos of her face because she had her arms up like this but also pulled in front of her face. I could also feel her hands moving around a lot. Even now when I carry her around in the moby wrap she prefers to have her hands up by her face. And if she can she will suck her thumb. The other morning she found it while laying on Myles chest and she happily sucked it for about 30min. It’s really cute. I am just glad she decided to pull one of them down for her birth because I don’t know if I could have even gotten her out like that.

Tonight I tried to get a picture of Simon holding her. For his part Simon did great. He was very cooperative and tried his best. But I think Talia is just a little to big for him as they all turned out really awkward looking (like he is about to drop her). I already have some other photos of them together that I will use for the birth announcement if I don’t get anything else but I had to try.  After she peed everywhere and Myles took her to change her I took a some shots of just Simon. He is such a great kid and he really is doing well with this transition though I can tell it’s hard for him to not have me all to himself. He has asked several times to be carried in the moby wrap only when I take Talia out of it and offer to carry him he then declines. (I think he just doesn’t want me carrying Talia) Today he told me 3 or 4 times “I don’t like y0u!” when I told him “no” or disciplined him. poor guy. I just tell him “Well, I love you no matter what”  and he says “don’t say that!” and I say “well it’s true”   Tonight I did his bedtime routine instead of Myles which was a good change only when he asked me to play guitar he was rather disappointed, as I really can’t.  Anyway here is my sweet boy.

we discovered the way to make him laugh smile is potty humor. All you have to say is something like “poop in a sock” and the kid will crack up.
