Christmastime Fun

I love that December is like one big long festival with tons of stuff to do but I honestly wish that we could stretch some of the things to do out into January, February and March when things are pretty glum. December is such a packed month and we have barely touched on all the fun things we want to do. I have to keep reminding myself that we just had a new  baby so we can’t possibly do everything. So we are saving the Santa Train and the teddy bear room, the carousel downtown, and snowflake lane for next year. This year we did make it to Garden D’lights with our friends John and Andrea.

I think this was the best year yet, they had added tons more lights and displays. This takes place at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens and you get to walk through the gardens and see tons of flowers and animals made from Christmas lights. It’s really beautiful!

Simon and Luna enjoying the view

Also lat week we went to Swanson nursery to see their reindeer, donkey, and camel. They also have a really fun model train set up that Simon LOVED.

(Hey mom there’s a camel right there!)

Dasher and Blitzen

and a very cool model train.

We have also been doing a lot of baking and cooking and I will share some photos of our natural food dye Christmas cookies shortly.

until then
