Tonight we lit all 40 of our lent candles and watched them burn completely down. We tried to keep a somber mood and ate by candlelight then Myles played guitar for us, it was a good evening for a very inquisitive little boy.

I love your Lent candle holder (just like I like your advent wreath every year!) Where did you get it?
Myles made our advent holder but the lent wreath (which can also be used for advent as it breaks down to a 24 hole spiral) is from A Holy Experience it’s called the Way of Light wreath. It’s hand made and you have to get on a wait list for one but very much worth it. http://adventtolenttoascensionwreath.blogspot.com/
I think that’s a wonderful thing to do with the kids (and adults of course) for it really gives a visual. They are such sponges right now.
