sidewalk chalk paint

if you haven’t tried this with your kids you should. It’s simple, just mix some cornstarch, water, and food coloring until you have a thin paste. It dries like sidewalk chalk and washes off with water.

apparently paint and paint brushes is a kid magnet – pretty soon we had all the neighbor kids making a mural.

painting rocks is also fun…

fun stuff. next time I am going to make more individual containers (it was hard to paint at any distance from the central try because one would have to keep going back and forth to it) and I am going to try wetting the surface to be painted as I think that will make the paint go farther. We will see.
