Two adorable girls, Eve and Naomi. ages 2 1/2 and 1 1/2.
Parents always want that money shot of both kids looking at the camera and smiling sweetly. The reality is that it rarely happens for siblings under the age of 3. It is too hard to keep your hands to yourself and of course little sister doesn’t want big sister touching her. So this is what I consider a miracle shot. Really it is just a miracle to get them both sitting down and in front of the camera. Don’t get me wrong these girls were both extremely well behaved. They are just 1.5 and 2.5. Even with marshmallow bribes it is hard to get them to both sit down at once. It is kind of like playing wack-a-mole, you get one positioned and the other pops up. Aren’t they cute though!
and despite being siblings who of course want whatever the other has it is obvious that they do love each other.
Here are some of the outtakes. I love the expressions on the center one.

Emily, I read your blog regularly (I am Abbey’s sister in law’s sister – did that make sense?? haha) and I swear I would just give anything to have you photograph my girls!! If you are ever in Colorado……
You really do such beautiful work and your most recent post of the sisters was just adorable. My girls are 13 mos apart so it was really neat to see the pictures you took of those little girls! It’s exactly where we’re at right now!! : )
Just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your blog and your son is just too too cute.
Oh that makes me feel better. I find I am struggling w/ engaging children while try to take their picture. So much easier when they are mine and I can say, “hey, sit there and look at my camera” 🙂
these are PRICLESS! and wow, they are sure big for 1.5 and 2.5,~! they look more like 2.5 and 3.5!! especially with all that GORGEOUS hair!!! they are tall!!!!! and beautifuL! i would love shots like these of my two!
