The Great Christmas Tree Hunt

This is our family Tradition. The day after Thanksgiving we go with my cousins, their children, and my brother to cut down our Christmas tree. This year it rained poured. But we didn't let it stop us from having fun! The tree farm is in North Bend. It's well worth the drive, There is a hay ride around the farm, you are served hot apple cider and you get to warm your hands next to a warm fire inside the main cabin. Santa also sees visitors – as you can see I even took my turn on Santa's lap. Simon wasn't so sure what to think of him.

be prepared for Snap shot overload. I couldn't take many photos outside due to the heavy rain.  And the credit goes to my mom for most of these photos.

  1. wonderful! That used to be ours as well. We lost our only local farm last year:( My parents have tons that are GREAT, just like the one you went to…lots of great memories. We are headed out tomorrow to get our tree, Lacy and I just went scoping out around town to see what each lot had…yeah, sad, but that’s what has to be done this year! Your photos brought back so many memories!
Oh, and btw, I GOT MY LENS!!! WAHOO…now, the learning must begin!

simon looks like he’s saying to Santa, “red is SO not your color!” 🙂

  3. This is my kind of fun. I love hayrides and getting out in the elements. We would so get along in real life.
