Talia {Day 13}

She was so sweet tonight as I photographed her. I gave her a bath again because tomorrow is her dedication at church and she smelled a bit like spoiled milk (she spits up a fair amount). She loved the bath and then fell asleep as I nursed her and let me take lots of photos.

I love how fuzzy her hair gets after a bath. She does have slightly more hair than Simon had and I think it’s lighter too. I am sure it will all fall out though and then she will be almost bald until she is too, it makes me a little sad.

She is getting really good at sucking her thumb. Almost once a day she will find it herself and just go to town. it’s really cute.

I’m saving lots of photos for possible use on her birth announcement, so many that it’s unlikely I will be able to use them all so I will come back and share them later. At any rate, tonight after I shot a huge series she was still sleeping so I asked Myles to take a photo of the two of us. I really wish she was posed better but it’s hard for me to hold her and pose her at the same time and Myles doesn’t know exactly what I am looking for but he tries! So this is not perfect but it’s the best we got so I will take it.

    so cute!! Maybe you could take one with daddy and baby, then show him what you want in the pic, then he could try and replicate that effect with you and Talia…..just a thought, I don’t really know anything about photography, but just a random idea i thought of……

    Your photos these past two weeks have been gorgeous!!! Can’t believe you are keeping up with blogging with a newborn, you rock! When my husband and I want a family photo, we set up a mirror behind the camera so we can see it before the timer goes off. Maybe you could try a mirror? Although I think this photo is perfect!!

  5. Oh! Be still my heart!!! I could just eat her up! She is truly BEAUTIFUL and a precious gift from God! I love looking at your newborn images–they inspire me and make me realize that I have sooooo much to learn in this area of photography. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous images 🙂
