Me and My Mom!

These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago and I am just now getting around to them (sorry mom). My mom just had a birthday, I am not going to say which one because that would be rude – but it was a BIG one. Anyway we went out for lunch and then had some fun with the camera remote. With my last camera I got so sick of trying to take family photos or self portraits by hitting the timer and running, so when I bought my d700 I also bought the remote! I have only use it a few times and it’s really nice not to have to try and run.

Can I just say I have the coolest mom. Just ask anyone who knows her – she has a servant’s heart and she goes out of her way to make others comfortable. When Simon was sick she brought us meals. Whenever she comes over if there is a laundry basket full of clean laundry (and there almost always is) she folds it, and if there is a sink full of dishes she washes them, and if there is nothing to clean – she makes ice.  She is amazing with Simon  and he adores her. So happy birthday mom…

Oh, that last one is funny. Thank you for your sweet comments. Now if I could only live up to them. It was a great 60th birthday. I don’t mind saying my age because I’ve earned every year of them.

I must agree. Kay Weaver is one-in-a-million!

You couldn’t be more right about your mom. She is the best mom and sister. She is one of the most generous people I know of.

The first one is my favorite. I bet every mom in the world would love a picture like that with their daughter. And you know what: you are are pretty cool daughter to be a super mom for! It is a two-way street 🙂
